"Fragmented Interpretations: Constructing the Arts-based Text"
2021
Grounded in autoethnographic and collaborative arts-based approaches, this peer-reviewed article examines the rhetorical life of a text. I collaborated with seven women who joined me in this project. We created artifacts in response to the central text, the short story “The Yellow Wallpaper,” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. From this practice, plus conversations about their artifacts, the everyday critic expressed their fragmented interpretations, building an arts-based text. Link to text.
